Bryan has over 20 years of experience working as an industrial relations practitioner. Twelve of these years were spent as a barrister at the Victorian Bar. As an industrial relations lawyer, Bryan has acted for employer clients in the mining and resources building and construction, transport, meat processing and communication industry sectors.
Bryan also has extensive experience working with public sector clients. For example, during his time as special counsel for Clayton Utz, he represented the Country Fire Authority in proceedings conducted in the Fair Work Commission (and its predecessor) and in the Federal Court. Such experiences have seen Bryan develop a deep knowledge and understanding of the workplace relations issues that confront the government sector.
Bryan has also been a special adviser to Airservices Australia, a Commonwealth statutory corporation, in relation to the management of their workplace relations and enterprise bargaining.
Bryan’s wealth of experience has made him an expert in identifying legal issues and the risks that workplace relations problems can have to an organisation’s interests.
